Colette Girard Photography

My artwork is influenced by Miksang Photography, a form of contemplative photography which seeks to clearly see and to appreciate the vividness of the visual world. I photograph common, everyday objects, viewed from a unique perspective. My images focus on patterns, bright colors and subtle shifts of light. All are actual photographs and are not digitally generated.

To enhance the quality of luminescence, certain images have been infused into metal and then mounted on aluminum shadow frames. Other images have been printed on canvas to express texture and are defined by wooden shadow frames.
